Spiritual development and empathy are qualities which are held as high values at Bean Primary School and developed throughout the curriculum, especially Religious Education. We seek to help pupils learn about a range of religions as well as learn from them. Christianity is taught throughout Key Stage 1 and 2. Hinduism is introduced in year 2 and continues across Key Stage 2. This is complimented by teaching on Islam, Sikhism and Judaism.
Pupils are taught to respect people's views and show sensitivity to the beliefs and cultures of those different from their own, including those from a non-faith background.
