Sporting Success

Posted: Apr 29, 2018 by: admin on: Mr Reilly's Blog

Ten pupils were selected this week from England and Ireland Class (Yr 1&2) to represent the school in an inter-school infant agility competition that tested their athletic and gymnastic abilities. It was the first time many of the children had competed against other schools, many much larger than Bean. Fourteen schools entered this annual event and I am delighted to report that Bean achieved first place!

The children will now progress to the Kent School Games finals representing Dartford in the summer.

The girls football team also experienced success this week as they competed against Westgate Primary School  and came away with a 6-1 win! Congratulations to all those involved.

To continue with our sporting theme, you may be interested to know that 52% of all our pupils took part in one of the seven after school clubs this week which includes dance, gymnastics, cricket and football. There are still places if you’d like your child to participate in one or more of these activities.
