Gardening Club
admin on: Mr Reilly's Blog
All the hard work from the gardening club pupils is starting to pay off. Flowers are appearing in the front playground, onions and garlic are growing in the rear beds and the new shrubs along the main entrance are extremely welcoming. Well done to all 21 children for taking pride in their environment.
Being Safe Online
admin on: Mr Reilly's Blog
This week our assemblies have been focusing on staying safe when using technology. Clearly there are many benefits when using technology but unfortunately there is also a harmful side. Children have been made aware of the dangers of communicating with others via the internet as well as sharing personal information. Often problems arise when children have unsupervised access to phones, tablets and game consoles. If, as parents and carers, you become aware of issues relating to online safety or children falling out due to unguarded communication, please let a member of staff know. We also have a CEOP (child exploitation and protection command) button on the front of our school website where issues can be reported.
Happy New Year

Welcome back to school after a busy Christmas period – and Happy New Year!
Nativity

Congratulations to all our talented pupils in Woodpecker, Puffin and Kookaburra classes who put on a wonderful Christmas Nativity performance this week. Each of the three performances were very impressive and the audiences were thrilled with the spectacle. Speaking, singing and dancing were all brilliantly performed. It was lovely to see ‘Baa’ making her debut performance on the last night thanks to Billy – our young farmer!
Well done to all the staff for their hard work in supporting the children.
Thank you to parents who contributed to the UNICEF collection as it raised £150.
Fitness Friday
admin on: Mr Reilly's Blog
Today saw the second Fitness Friday event. This is where all the pupils are arranged into mixed ages within their houses and participate in a teacher led activity. The focus is on being active and having fun. Ofsted captured the essence of the school being ‘joyful’ on their most recent visit and this is something we want to continue to promote. Please encourage your child to share their Fitness Friday experience with you.
