Victory in Europe Day – VE Day

On Thursday 8th May it is the 80th anniversary of V.E. Day. To celebrate this occasion we will be holding a number of activities in school. Our focus will be peace and reconciliation and the ending of conflict. On Thursday the children will be completing a number of themed activities in their classrooms including creating decorations for our school street party on the Friday.

On Friday 9th May we would like to invite the children to wear their party clothes for our Bean Primary School tea party. To facilitate this, we are asking parents to send in some snacks for their child to enjoy in the afternoon. Unfortunately food can’t be shared, so each child will need to bring in their own snacks. A drink of some kind can also be included, other than drinking water, but please avoid glass bottles. For younger children, please ensure food parcels are labelled. All snacks must be nut free.

We can’t wait to celebrate with the children in school.
